The hours will be long (12 hour shifts) with typical rosters of 14 days on followed by 7 days off.  It is guaranteed to be hot, and can often be cold, windy and wet depending on what time of the year it is (and we won’t mention the flies).  Night shift is also necessary on some operations, with a typical double shift roster being 7 day shifts followed by 7 night shifts then a 7 day break.

You need to enjoy being part of a team, and physically working outdoors.
You should be fit, capable of understanding and following
instructions, self motivated and keen to learn.
