In 2015 FORACO realized the existing hard copy management of field data was unsustainable. Each rig had to carry multiple file boxes of policies, procedures, standards, records, qualifications, certifications, audit and inspection forms, manuals etc.

Refreshing, replacing and managing this paper based system was time consuming with the potential for errors and oversight.

With the assistance of an IT partner, the Operations team developed and deployed the FORACO App. This is a cloud based system used to host all HSEC data (Acts, Regulations, Policies, Procedures, Standards), Qualifications, Records, Registers, Audit and Inspection forms, Inductions, SWP and VOC sign offs, Equipment Manuals, MSDS, Videos (HSEC, Operational, Training) and Technical Instructions.

All material is stored locally on the device which automatically syncs and downloads the latest data whenever a wireless connection is (automatically) established. This ensures that access to material is not constrained by connectivity issues.

Administrators (HSEC and Operations) upload new and revised documents to the cloud whenever they are developed, removing the superseded material, which ensures that only the latest version is available.

Forms which require input such as pre starts, audits and inspections, SWP and VOC sign off etc. require a digital signature, and have a unique ID and time stamp for audit and traceability purposes.

Employee and Client acceptance has been overwhelming, with all stakeholders recognizing the step change the FORACO App has created with accessing and managing data to support field operations.
