FORACO Australia

Hydro Drilling

FORACO Australia specialises in small footprint, Large Diameter Flooded Reverse (LDFR) hydro drilling. This unique dual tube drilling methodology facilitates drilling large diameter water wells (20”) with much less risk and energy consumption, delivering higher yielding bores.

Our NGBF series of high capacity drill rigs feature wireless remote control and full MWD systems. The Driller is positioned in a climate controlled dog house with integrated lighting tower and storage facility. The NGBF rigs have 55T (12,000lb) of pullback, a 30″ (762cm) table opening and can drill a 24″ hole to 500m.

All of our LDFR rigs feature titling drill heads, 20” dual hydraulic breakouts and Safe T Load pipe trailers to eliminate manual handling.  Trailer mounted self-contained closed loop mud systems minimize mud costs, and drill site pad size requirements.

Specialized Casing While Drilling (CWD) system is used to drill and set 24″, 20” and 10” surface casing.  This system is fast and efficient, particularly through troublesome geological formations that need to be isolated from the well during drilling and construction.

The company has a wide selection of mud pumps, compressors, drill rods, collars, stabilizers and bits (DTH and rotary) to construct the most efficient well design.

We offer unique data acquisition from down hole pressure transducers which display draw down and recharge curves during standard air lift development.
